Our journal of what we pray is our sojourn of life along the narrow way, even the old paths, submitting to the Bible as a light unto both.

Orange Day 2017 – The 12th

As in years past, in honor of our Protestant heritage against the antichrist Roman Catholic Church, last evening we gathered to remember “The 12th,” an Orange Day celebration commemorating William of Orange’s stand against the Roman Catholics on July 12, 1690, where he defeated their forces at the Battle of the Boyne (see the “Antichrist” section on our “Soul Info” page regarding our belief that the Pope and Roman Catholic Church are the Antichrist and religious system of Antichrist).

This year, we did a reading on this, and recorded the video:

We believe the prophecies of Revelation in the Bible have been rolling out over the Church age since Christ left (this is called the Historicist method of eschatology). In the video, Mr. Stonger mentioned Robert Flemming’s short book called “The Rise & Fall of the Papacy”, which takes the reader through that unfolding of Revelation over the centuries. I would highly recommend it, and you can get a copy at Amazon.

As always, we thank the Lord for granting His word to be given in our language, the spread of that word, and all of the means of grace from Reformation and Puritan writers He has granted! May we use them diligently, and we pray He grants us His graces through them!

Orange Day 2015 – The 12th

Once again, in honor of our Protestant heritage against the antichrist Roman Catholic Church, we gathered to remember “The 12th,” an Orange Day celebration commemorating William of Orange’s stand against the Roman Catholics on July 12, 1690, where he defeated the antichrist Roman Catholic forces at the Battle of the Boyne (see the “Antichrist” section on our “Soul Info” page regarding our belief that the Pope and Roman Catholic Church are the Antichrist and religious system of Antichrist).

Orange Day 2015 – Ain’t Catholics Day

Once again, this March 17th, we gathered together in a local tradition we have, in Protestant opposition to the Catholic Saint Patrick’s Day, wearing our orange colors. Some time ago, Protestants in Northern Ireland and Scotland took the color orange in honor of William the III, also known as William of Orange, and for his stands against the Roman Catholics, especially on July 12, where he defeated the antichrist Roman Catholic forces at the Battle of the Boyne (see the “Antichrist” section on our “Soul Info” page regarding our belief that the Pope and Roman Catholic Church are the Antichrist and religious system of Antichrist).

Here’s William, our orange tabby, named after William of Orange, ready to start the gathering!

And here are all of the arrivals, preparations, meal time, and fellowship together. This was the first time at our house, so that was extra special!

Orange Day – The 12th, 2013

Once again, in honor of our Protestant heritage against the antichrist Roman Catholic Church, we celebrate “The 12th,” an Orange Day celebration commemorating William of Orange’s stand against the Roman Catholics on July 12, 1690, where he defeated the antichrist Roman Catholic forces at the Battle of the Boyne (see the “Antichrist” section on our “Soul Info” page regarding our belief that the Pope and Roman Catholic Church are the Antichrist and religious system of Antichrist).

We are grateful again to the Lord for granting the revelation of Antichrist and for those who have stood up against him and the anti-christian systems throughout time, and the faith and courage He granted them, even amidst great persecutions. May we be kept in His faith all the way through to the end.

Orange Day 2013 – Ain’t Patrick’s Day

As in previous years, we gathered yesterday on the Lord’s Day for our fellowship tradition in Protestant opposition to the Catholic Saint Patrick’s Day, wearing our orange colors.

Orange Day – The 12th, 2012

Every year during the past few years or so, along with March 17 (Saint Patrick’s Day) in honor of our Protestant heritage against the antichrist Roman Catholic Church, we celebrate “The 12th,” an Orange Day celebration commemorating William of Orange’s stand against the Roman Catholics on July 12, 1690, where he defeated the antichrist Roman Catholic forces at the Battle of the Boyne (see the “Antichrist” section on our “Soul Info” page regarding our belief that the Pope and Roman Catholic Church are the Antichrist and religious system of Antichrist).

It’s a time a fellowship and fun for the group here, and we enjoy gathering in all of our orange regalia….

This year, we started by singing several of the Psalms we are learning from our psalter:

And then it was time to eat!

And then children had some play time outside:

We are thankful to the Lord for all of His provisions; for granting His word to be available to us in our native tongue; for this time of peace where we are not killed by antichrist for having a Bible in our own language; for all of the Protestants of the past and their stands — including to death — against antichrist — the Pope and the Roman Church — may we stand against antichrist equally as faithful; and for the opportunity to gather in Christ’s name as brethren.

Orange Day 2011

On March 17 of each year, we have a tradition around here of having an orange party, with orange being the somewhat official color of Protestants, in protest of the Roman Catholic St. Patrick’s Day and their green color.

And so, last night we met at the community center and celebrated with a meal and fellowship:

And may we pass along these remembrances to the next generations:

Preparing the Next Generation for Protestant Orange Day

Mr. Bunker also talked a little bit about the day and our homegrown tradition of this day; and he read the following poem, in remembrance of those Protestant Waldenses killed at the massacre on them by the Catholics in Piedmont in 1655:

Avenge, O Lord, thy slaughtered saints, whose bones

Lie scattered on the Alpine mountains cold,

Even them who kept thy truth so pure of old,

When all our fathers worshiped stocks and stones;

Forget not: in thy book record their groans

Who were thy sheep and in their ancient fold

Slain by the bloody Piedmontese that rolled

Mother with infant down the rocks. Their moans

The vales redoubled to the hills, and they

To Heaven. Their martyred blood and ashes sow

O’er all th’ Italian fields where still doth sway

The triple tyrant; that from these may grow

A hundredfold, who having learnt thy way

Early may fly the Babylonian woe.

Amen!
