Our journal of what we pray is our sojourn of life along the narrow way, even the old paths, submitting to the Bible as a light unto both.

Orange Day 2015 – Ain’t Catholics Day

Once again, this March 17th, we gathered together in a local tradition we have, in Protestant opposition to the Catholic Saint Patrick’s Day, wearing our orange colors. Some time ago, Protestants in Northern Ireland and Scotland took the color orange in honor of William the III, also known as William of Orange, and for his stands against the Roman Catholics, especially on July 12, where he defeated the antichrist Roman Catholic forces at the Battle of the Boyne (see the “Antichrist” section on our “Soul Info” page regarding our belief that the Pope and Roman Catholic Church are the Antichrist and religious system of Antichrist).

Here’s William, our orange tabby, named after William of Orange, ready to start the gathering!

And here are all of the arrivals, preparations, meal time, and fellowship together. This was the first time at our house, so that was extra special!

Once again, we stand with our Protestant brethren throughout time. We remember Christ’s martyrs of the faith. May the Lord grant us His faith and the courage to stand firm in it unto the end, whatever He might have for us, for His glory.

Community Singing – December 2014

Once again, we are grateful for the opportunity to sing together the Psalms as a fellowship! This is the next set of Psalms from the psalter we use:

Psalms 35A-37F

Previous Psalms singings:

Psalms 1A-12B (minus 4B)

Psalms 4B & 13-18L

Psalms 19A-22E

Psalms 22F-24C

Psalms 25A-27F

Psalms 28A-31G

Psalms 32A-34D

It is always our prayer the Lord glorify Himself through our lives and through these singings, and we pray He might grant His graces to His Church through this means of grace!

Thanksgiving 2014

The Lord was gracious and merciful again to allow us the opportunity to gather together as a group for our Thanksgiving fellowship meal for 2014! We thought we’d share some of the sights…

After the meal, someone brought what I guess is called Trap Ball, where you set a sack-type ball on the end of a small teeter-totter device, hit one end with a paddle, which pops the ball up in the air, and then the idea is to hit the ball past everyone without it being caught on the fly. Lots of people participated!

And finally, we continued on in John Owen’s works’ volume “The Glory of Christ“, which we’ve been at for several years now (we have just started the first “Meditations and Discourses on the Glory of Christ,” which is on pg 349):

Once again, we are grateful to the Lord for allowing us this opportunity together, for His infinite graces and mercies, and His provisions both spiritual and temporal. May He always glorify Himself through us in whatever way He might.

Community Singing – September 2014

We are always grateful to the Lord for Him allowing us to gather together and sing the Psalms from the Bible! And this is the next set of Psalms from the psalter we use.

Community Singing – June 2014

It’s been a while since we have recorded our Psalms singing from the psalter we use, but this past Lord’s Day/Resurrection Day, we gathered together and recorded the next set of Psalms. As always, it is our prayer that God glorify Himself and that He benefit His Church through these:

Psalms 28A-31G

Previous Psalms singings:

Psalms 1A-12B (minus 4B)

Psalms 4B & 13-18L

Psalms 19A-22E

Psalms 22F-24C

Psalms 25A-27F

Once again, we are eternally grateful to the Lord for His Word, and this opportunity to sing it, and His praises. We thank Him for bringing circumstance in our lives so that the words have much more meaning, and we pray He hears these cries of our hearts, again for His glory and the praise of His name! Amen!

Passover 2014

This past Tuesday, we celebrated the Passover as a group. Each year we observe this, mostly as a teaching tool for the children, although we pray for spiritual blessings and benefits from it as well, in greater worship of the Lord Christ.

Here are the tables prepared for the evening:

Passover Table Preparation

And we began the Passover seder. We use the Passover section from the book, “A Family Guide to Biblical Holidays“:

Beginning the Passover Seder

Part of the seder involves singing of Psalms 113-118:

During the Passover Seder Psalm Singing

Here is the seder plate. The lamb represents Christ, the Lamb of God; the bitter herbs (horseradish here) represent the bitterness of bondage; the “matzah” is unleavened, representing how quickly the Israelites had to leave Egypt; the “karpas” (celery here) symbolizes the new life for the Jewish people and the hyssop used to sprinkle the blood on the door posts, and is dipped into salt water representing the tears of slavery; and the “haroset,” a mixture of apples, nuts, grape juice and cinnamon, represents the mortar the Israelites used to build the Egyptian cities, and the sweetness of a better world:

The seder continues:

And then we partake of the Passover meal, the meat even from one of the Bunkers’ sheep they graciously offered for the seder:

The Passover Meal

With drinks and dessert, the wine and grape juice being for the various cups to be drunk or not during the seder:

The Passover Drinks and Desserts

And meal time. It was all very yummy!

During the Passover Meal

And a final Psalm sung:

During Final Passover Psalms Singing

It was a very nice time of fellowshipping together in remembrance of God’s mighty works! We are thankful for the time, pray the Lord glorified Himself through the time, and we pray for His continued light and heat in our lives, and may we be a light to the world for His glory.
