From our garlic harvest from last year, we thought we’d try replanting the cloves dried and preserved instead of purchasing garlic.

We got a bit of a late start, but here are a couple of current pictures of the growing garlic. I would that more of them had sprouted; but we know, as it is spiritually, that all that can be done by man is planting and watering, and the results are God’s, in accordance with His will:
1 Cor 3:7 – “So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.“
We’re grateful for the opportunity to try to grow our garlic perpetuating it from the land only, and for the continued health benefits of being able to have garlic, and we pray that the Lord might grant a harvest in due season.

The goats broke our fence down & ate our garlic tops. 🙁 We've been replanting heads we saved for 4 years now. It was a bit of a shock to see how big they grew in our loose Virginia dirt & the tiny heads we got from Carolina clay. Year by year God is enabling them to grow bigger again w/ much soil amendment. I'm looking forward to reading of your lacto-fermented garlic, DV.

Wow, sorry to hear about the goats and garlic. If they can get to it, they'll eat it. We've had them destroy a fruit tree by eating the bark.

What beautiful garlic you have. Ours suffered terribly after the girls pulled it all up, thinking that they were helping to weed.
This year, Lord willing, we will have about 4x what we have planted in the past and we hope to do half as well as you have.

Ours is doing ok; not all of them came up, but the ones that did continue to grow, thanks to the Lord and His rain.
